We’re a small, fast-moving team, which means our interns don’t fetch coffee. They do real work, learn real skills, and leave with portfolio pieces and industry connections they can actually use.

Open Internship Positions
Recording Studio Intern
Work hands-on in our recording studio. Assist with sessions, mic setup, session prep and breakdown, gear maintenance, and basic tracking and editing tasks.
- You: Familiar with DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, etc.), punctual, cool under pressure, eager to learn signal flow
- Bonus: Live sound experience, instrument repair, or DIY recording background
Editorial & Newsletter Intern
Write artist spotlights, album reviews, and release roundups for the Music Addict newsletter.
- You: Strong writer, obsessive music fan, comfortable with deadlines
- Bonus: Journalism or writing coursework, previous blog or zine experience
Label Services Intern
Support artist onboarding, radio programs, playlisting, touring, release management, distribution admin, and metadata QC.
- You: Detail-obsessed, organized, genuinely curious about how releases actually get to Spotify
- Bonus: Familiarity with DistroKid, TuneCore, Symphonic, or similar
A&R Scout Intern
Dig for talent. Review demo submissions, scout local scenes and streaming playlists, and flag artists worth a look.
- You: Great taste (subjective, but true), deep listening habits, ability to articulate why an artist stands out
Social Media & Content Intern
Create short-form content, run community engagement, and help grow Music Addict’s presence.
- You: Fluent in TikTok/Reels/Shorts — memes welcome, cringe discouraged
Internship Details
Compensation: These are unpaid internships. Interns receive academic credit where their school allows, hands-on training, portfolio work, and mentorship.
Duration: Rolling start dates; typical term is 3–6 months
Eligibility: Students and early-career candidates, 18+
Location: Remote (except studio role — see listing)
