Hulaween’s highly anticipated art program, Spirit Lake, has unveiled its official theme for 2025: *The Radiant Veil – The Dance of Light and Shadow*. Led by Experience Director Justin Bolognino, this immersive art experience continues to be one of the most celebrated festival attractions across the United States, showcasing an impressive lineup of talented sculptors, fire and metal artisans, painters, performers, projection and lighting designers.
Set to take place from October 30 to November 2, 2025, at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, Hulaween’s 12th annual celebration promises a weekend filled with extraordinary visual and musical experiences. Limited tickets are still available for those eager to immerse themselves in this creative wonderland.
Spirit Lake has long been recognized as a leading immersive art installation at American festivals, blending sculpture, projection mapping, interactive builds, stage design, and performance art into a captivating environment. The festival’s visual lineup is announced well in advance, allowing attendees to anticipate the creative magic that awaits.
This year’s theme, *The Radiant Veil*, explores the interplay of light and shadow, myth, and imagination—creating a space where the boundary between dreams and reality dissolves. Justin Bolognino, CEO of META and seasoned creator of multi-sensory experiences, is guiding this vision. His portfolio includes collaborations with Skrillex, Phish, Questlove, Porter Robinson, and major brands like Google and Samsung. As he returns for his third year as Experience Director, Bolognino is expanding upon the beloved installations while pushing the boundaries of immersive art.
Returning to Spirit Lake are iconic sculptures by Paul Kuhn of Twelve Limbs Art Studio, including The Witch, The Ferryman, and Ogres + Rock Hands—landmarks that have become central to the festival’s story. Other returning favorites include Thomas Dambo’s Spider and Pineapple Hands, and SLOPS’ The Spider’s Eggs, continuing the evolving narrative. Eco-conscious builds like Duende Builds’ Birdhouse Village, crafted from natural materials, also make their return.

The festival’s signature stages continue to enchant, with the OFF LIMITS stage—an intricate 360-degree experience—making a comeback. Designed by Duende, RÜTS, and Bolognino, this stage features stained-glass dragonfly wings and beetle motifs, blending Victorian fantasy with natural elements. The underground programming, curated by Define Everything Future (DEF), will feature artists like Whethan, YDG, Jigitz, BLOND:ISH, and more, enhanced by Incendia fire effects and a powerful L-Acoustics sound system.
Other notable art installations include the House of Lost by Lost Creations, with its gothic-inspired design and legendary performances; Justin Bolognino and RÜTS’s new large-scale Fibonacci fern sculpture, *Fiddlehead*; and interactive exhibits like Fox Light Labs’ SYNTHesthesia Crystals and PDA Woodwork’s TeeterMAZE—an engaging, large-scale pinball maze.
New curated works for 2025 include Matt Elson’s mirrored light pieces, *Radiance* and *Tanzer*; Matt Bosch’s sculpture *Blood Ov Babalon* honoring the goddess archetype; and the LumaVoid Theatre, a shadow puppet venue featuring Rabbit Foot Puppetry and Dragon Box Theatre. The Spirit Lake experience is enriched by the Wandering Lion Tea Sanctuary, a peaceful space for relaxation and sober connection, and the return of Ania Amador’s Mural Maze.
The festival’s iconic lakefront projection show also returns, featuring four one-hour spectacles: *From Light*, *Into Shadow*, *The Radiant Veil*, and *The Dance of Light and Shadow*. A top-secret, interactive installation called *The Oracle of Spirit Lake* will debut, transforming the lake show into a participatory experience each night.
As one of the last major independent festivals in the U.S., Hulaween continues to innovate and elevate its art programming, with Spirit Lake at the core of its identity. Fans can look forward to a weekend of unforgettable art, music, and community, with the official schedule now available for planning their experience.
