For the Love of Buddy Miles
This annual concert takes place yearly in March in Detroit. Get ready to relive the soulful grooves of rock and funk with For the Love of Buddy Miles! Buddy Miles, a legendary drummer and vocalist, is best known for his work with The Buddy Miles Express and his collaborations with Jimi Hendrix. This intimate concert will showcase his classic hits and vibrant rhythms, transporting you back to the golden age of rock. Join us for a night of nostalgia and explosive energy that will make you want to dance!
Buddy was a triple threat, excelling as an incredible drummer, vocalist, and guitarist. While he is best remembered for his legacy with Jimi Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys. His career was much more extensive, featuring a catalog of over a dozen albums and hits. Including his signature song “Them Changes.”
Buddy’s career included multiple chart-topping releases, legendary live television performances, and he was the voice behind the Claymation supergroup “The California Raisins.” Buddy jammed live and toured with the most iconic musicians in history, including Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Billy Cox, George Clinton, Buddy Guy, Mike Bloomfield, Billy Preston, Wilson Pickett, John McLaughlin, Stephen Stills, Bootsy Collins, Steve Vai, and countless others!
