Aviance

The Bad Girls of R&B. That’s no cliché, Aviance proves that statement tenfold. Hailing from the hardworking and proud city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dominique Nicole and Beyyond have fought their way to the top and have no plans of resigning anytime soon. This duo takes R&B to the next label. Fusing a variety of different sounds to create an element that will not only appeal to the masses; but set them apart from the competition. The passion and emotion exist in excess as they hold their craft to the highest of standards, delivering a beautiful and unmatched atmosphere.

Music Addict has had the pleasure of introducing them to our readers; giving them a glimpse into who Aviance is and why they are the hottest rising R&B act today.

MusicAddict:

From looking at your website I can see you both are extremely motivated to accomplish what you set your minds too, what continues to be the driving factor that will allow you guys to truly take the world by storm?

Aviance:

The main driving factor for us is singing with everything we’ve got! There’s no cutting corners with our lyrics, adlibs, or even stage performances. People will relate to us because we pour out our truth.

MusicAddict:

Aviance is one single entity, but who makes up this entity? I’m sure the readers would love to catch a glimpse into who Beyyond and Dominique Nicole are as individuals. What brought you both together and how are you able to mesh so well as duo? What are some things that make you different from one another?

Aviance:

While Aviance is a single entity, our uniqueness as individuals makes it all gel together. Beyyond aka the “Blue Hair Bad Girl” has a personality that’s edgy yet charismatic. Every word she writes and that pours out from her heart is passionate, soulful, and meaningful. Dominique Nicole walks through with her sassy and sensual appeal. She’s more laid back but her vocals pack a punch. Our manager, Ali Hyman, brought us together. The industry needed beautiful women who could really sing all while holding integrity and not needing to sell sex to pull a crowd. As a duo we mesh well because we all have the same vision and passion for music.

MusicAddict:

Uniqueness is essential to distinguish yourselves in such a diverse market. The name “Aviance” represents just that, it is unique in and of itself. I’m curious about the true meaning behind the name. What does it represent, and what does it mean to both of you?

Aviance:
Aviance is derived from “Ambiance” which means a beautiful atmosphere. We’ve replaced the “m-b” with a “v” For vocals. So it means a beautiful atmosphere with our vocals! It means to stand out and go against the grain even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else. Stay gracious and grounded and your atmosphere will be built on that.

MusicAddict:

Let’s look at your most recent single: “Broken”. I can feel the pain and emotion in the lyrics and in your voices. What is the story behind such a powerful and moving single? What is the creative process behind your art and what continues to drive your music?

Aviance:

Imagine yourself being in love with someone, you’ve spent a great deal of ups and downs, practically growing with that person, and then without warning “life happens” and the relationship ends? How does a person easily cope with that? Real life moved us to write this song. Before and while creating music we always focus on the topics and experiences that are real to us. Our listeners wouldn’t feel the pain and emotion if we faked it. Real life drives our music.

MusicAddict:

We got a feel into your music and into what drives you both to give it your all and strive for nothing less but the world. All I must ask now is, what’s next? Any up-and-coming projects? What do your fans have to look forward to in the near future?

Aviance

We are currently working on new material for our third album and we’re excited. So much has changed between now and our last album. Our goal is to explore different sounds, creative processes, and lyrics to bring out our stories. Our fans can look forward to more visuals, appearances, and concerts coming soon!

The drive for greatness cannot be more apparent. Two powerful women, more than ready to etch their names in the upper echelon of music. They take great pride in establishing “real” music, that is based on their talents and prowess rather than the industry standard approach of selling sex. There are many ways to describe this duo; but they would just rather let their music do the talking. That is the beauty behind music that is generated from the heart, and from what you are truly most passionate about. The emotion behind the voices, the geniality behind the person; is what establishes a true artist. That notion cannot be exemplified more than what we see in Dominique Nicole and Beyyond. The Bad Girls of R&B are here to stay and will be a force to be reckoned with for many a year to come.
